Therapeutic Residential Supports
Aurora Program (Intensive Therapeutic Care)
Responding to crisis or those needing a short to medium-term care arrangement, Strive offers a therapeutic home environment that is trauma-effective - focused on safety, individualised routine and behaviour support, and positive and healing relationships. This is achieved through a core care team of qualified staff on a 24/7 roster, a dedicated manager overseeing the program, best-practice casework systems in line with regulatory standards, and effective stakeholder collaboration (including families).

The Intensive Therapeutic Care approach addresses and supports the complexities of trauma, adversity, attachment and developmental needs whilst working towards permanency goals for the child/young person.
Therapeutic Respite
Ranging from several days to two weeks, residential respite provides parents or carers the opportunity to take a break from their caring responsibilities whilst the child/young person continues to receive the support they need. Planned therapeutic respite can often preserve placements and care arrangements as it allows the caregivers to attend to their health and wellbeing, meet other family responsibilities, and act as a ‘circuit breaker to recharge’.
Children or young people enter a supportive environment created by a trained and qualified care team that is safe, predictable and structured mirroring their home living situation. This includes consistent boundaries, therapeutic routine, development of social and life skills, and positive relationships.
Safe Kinnections
Mothers fleeing domestic and family violence with their children require a safe space to begin their healing process. Safe Kinnections provides a therapeutic residential program for these families utilising the CREATE Model of Care to provide immediate safety, provide support in relation to parenting/child needs, positive skills role modelling / coaching, and development of a sustainable support network. The purpose of Safe Kinnections is to keep families together and ensure that they transition to a safe home with sustainable, long-term positive outcomes.
