Disability Support Services

Strive Community Care is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to live full, independent, and connected lives. We build tailored support programs with participants and their care teams that focus on personal growth, skill development, and active community participation.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services enable individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible in shared or individual living arrangements. We provide a range of personalised supports, including daily living skills, household management, meal preparation, and personal care. Our goal is to foster autonomy, build confidence, and create a home environment where individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered.

Households are supervised by Strive’s team of Therapeutic Support Workers who are experienced in working with clients with complex behavioural and mental health support needs.

Our qualified staff receive comprehensive training, including Maybo training - the benchmark for reducing and managing conflict and clinically-related behaviours of concern. The Maybo model focuses on how to prevent situations from arising and escalating, while also recognising that there are times in some environments when staff must act to prevent imminent harm to themselves or others.

Social and Community Participation

Active involvement in the community is vital for everyone’s wellbeing. Our Social and Community Participation services are designed to support individuals with disabilities in accessing and engaging with their local community. This includes assistance with attending appointments, participating in social groups, pursuing hobbies and interests, accessing education or employment opportunities, and building meaningful connections. We help individuals explore new possibilities and enjoy a rich, fulfilling life.
